Two reasons to be happy I have impulse control

1. While driving home from work yesterday, Prince's "Let's Go Crazy" came on my mp3 player, and the first thing I thought was, "Man, I should stand up and do the opening monologue of this song* as speech at a wedding. No, not just any wedding. My wedding."

2. After reflecting on how silly it is to give pets human-esque names such as William or Stephen, I seriously considered buying a cat and naming it 'Folder'.

(* - And I'm doing this from memory: "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to get through this thing called life. Electric word, life, it means forever and that's a mighty long time, but I'm here to tell ya: there's something else. The Afterworld. A world of neverending happiness; you can always see the sun, day or night. So when you call up that shrink in Beverly Hills, you know the one, Dr. Everything-Be-All-Right, instead of asking how much of your time is left, ask him how much of your mind, baby. Because in this life, things are much harder than the Afterworld. This life - you on your own. And if the elevator tries to bring you down? Go crazy.")

Dude! That's freaky. To me, as you well know, all lyrics that I don't know are automatically wither Dylanized mumblings or "Paperback Writerrrrrrrrrrrrr!"

If you do this, you must have a casio keyboard in the background.

I always thought it was "And if the elevator tries to bring you down, go crazy."

Shannon, you were correct. My post has been altered, and I am much shamed by my misunderstanding of Prince lyrics, being the Prince fan that I am. I should tear up my paisley membership card.
