The blind leading the blonde.

Today, I saw a woman in the store with thinly-penciled lines over her eyes as a substitute for her eyebrows, startlingly unnatural foundation makeup, and bubblegum pink lipstick that looked as though she had applied it with her non-dominant hand (or, if she was ambidextrous, her feet). She had on baggy black pants that were "capri-style" in the sense that they came to her calves, but in no other way resembled capri pants. She asked me to help her find the "makeup and fashion" section. It was a beautiful meshing of person and book genre, like a starving man going to the cookbooks, or the Amish at the computer section. It was something I do not think I will see again.
