It's just...I can't...

My cold/flu has subsided, leaving me feeling a lot better. I mean, now I can satisfy my need for food without fearing that the little creatures that live in my stomach will not find it to their liking and send it back. That also means I can stop drinking Pepto-Bismol right from the bottle, which a lot of people find rather odd.

I'm about to go to work, but I had to leave a permanent record of this...thing I came across. Sometimes - not often - I find something that leaves me completely speechless. Here is the most recent example. I mean....it's just...I honestly don't know what to say about that. Which might be a good indication that I am not cut out to be a writer, but I mean...just look at it.

Ever since I saw Scott doing it, it's no longer weird to me.

Besides, Diego chugs tabasco...

I'm particularly fond of the line, "It shows worship to the Lord, respect for the President, and hope for all."

Hope for all! So long as you pray to the same invisible man I pray to...

Unbelievable. Glad to see you're feeling better dB.

I am a mite teed off at this whole "divine right" idea. Even conservatives scoff at the idea that any leader is to be likened unto a god, and find such practises primitive and unenlightened--certainly not the type of thing one does in this day and age. Such a conservative would poo-poo the ancient Egyptians, or the Japanese circa WWII, or the English kings of old.

But isn't that exactly what that website seems to be saying? All these "faith-based initiatives" and "family values" claptrap is nothing more than the government supporting and advocating one specific religion to the exclusion--and sometimes detriment--of all others.

I wonder how many of these people know what the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment is, and why it's so important...
