A moment of silence for the Skiing Fridge

Most of the people who know me also know that I love Nick Park. Not Nick Park the man, but rather Nick Park the creative genius. I haven't seen Wallace & Gromit and the Curse of the Were-Rabbit yet, but I'm going to very soon; I loved all three of the shorts, and while Chicken Run didn't blow my socks off, I enjoyed it nonetheless. And really, can anyone argue with the statement that Sledgehammer is the best music video ever? If so, pipe down, you're ruining my point.

Imagine my shock, then, when I found out that the Aardman Animations building burned down. I'm glad no-one was hurt, and as Park himself said, "in the light of other tragedies it's not a big deal", but I can't believe all those props and characters are all gone. I think tonight would be a good night to go home and pop the shorts in again. Maybe with a nice bit of Wensleydale.

Ha! We were just watching "A Grand Day Out" a couple of days ago. That was a great one. Hell, they all are!!

That's sad about the fire.

I read about the fire to...It's not tragic, but it certainly is sad, especially considering the thousands of hours of hard work that went into the creation of all the props, sets, etc...

Man, I was totally bummed about the fire. However, the movie? Is hilarious. Even my grumpy dad who hasn't been to a movie in the theater since "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" (No, I'm not kidding) totally loved it.
