Here is a short list of things in my house with a longer life expecancy than my bachelorhood:
A small container of yogurt.
A bag of mixed green salad.
The remainder of a carton of eggs.
Our sour cream.
A bag of bread.
A hunk of cheese.
Not the milk, though. I've got three days on the milk.

That reminds me of when I went grocery shopping in December '99, and realized that the milk was Y2K compliant.

It's almost here!
You realize the date on those products is how long they can left on the shelf at the store. Once the product is opened, the date doesn't really apply anymore..
